Yellow Cabs are the longest running wheelchair access taxi in Newquay.  Since 2005 we have operated a wheelchair access vehicle, allowing the passenger to ride in their wheelchair inside the vehicle.

The wheelchair access taxi comes with a 'Ricon' hydraulic lift, capable of lifting 350kg in weight.  This is tested and certified twice annually by the local authority.

The wheelchair access taxi is fitted with 'Unwin' tracking, wheelchair ratchet straps, and a 3-point seatbelt for the wheelchair user.  The vehicle also has four passenger seats fitted.

We can take both manual and electric wheelchairs, with maximum dimensions (with user seated) of

1250mm (height) x 730mm (width) x 1280mm (length).
